Okay, so I came up with something else to attach my tatting to. I have always like embellished journals and have wanted to do this for a long time. I wish the journal was a pastel color, but I'm not complaining because it was a great price and I love the word "faith" in the middle of it. That word says alot to me. We all need to have faith, right? The slogan, "Keep the faith, baby" has been around for a long time. I am thankful that I have faith in God and Jesus Christ, because that is all I need in this life to keep me going. I can't have faith in my government, because look what has happened. I can't have faith in people, because we are all human and we all fail sometimes. I can't have faith in things, because they decay and go away. So, I enjoyed working on this book because it says something positive to me, and I hope to others.

That is so very pretty! I LOVE the tatted embellishments you added! It's so nicely done and just adds to the beautiful look of the journal cover. So very often I see tatting just slapped hap-hazardly onto things and it tends to take away from the project rather than add to it...not only does it take away from the piece being embellished, but the beauty of tatting as well..this is done in a very classy manner! Bravo!!!
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind comments. I know what you mean by sometimes seeing tatting just stuck on a piece with no rhyme or reason. I make altered books, too and some altered book artists do that. I guess because I made it myself, I'm a little more careful how I display it. I also liked your comments on angels. Yes, I noticed how you display your angel very prominently. It is beautiful the way you have framed it.

Hi Linda,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog - I have just enjoyed a little while browsing your blog :) My doily has not taken all that long as the pattern is quite simple :) I am sure you would have no problems at all with it after looking at some of your work.
Warm regards
Love your blog. I just found it. I so want to learn how to tat and will try to teach myself while on vacation the week of the 4th. I'm from Maine also...the Biddeford area, and now living in Vermont.
