THE MUSICAL TATTER

I have been busy!

I am tatting every moment I get these days. But my time has been limited lately. My husband is really sick now. All his life he has never been sick--until now. He has always done a physically demanding job--a produce manager for a major grocery chain. He has not worked for 4 months so far. And the doctors don't know what is causing his sickness. Anyway, I'm trying to "hold down the fort", so to speak. So, if you could say a prayer (or many prayers) for us, I would love it. I read on AOL today that any kind of repetitive task like knitting (or tatting, in my case) can be a stress reliever, and I believe it. I tend to go to my tatting when I am going through something stressful. I'm also trying to build up my stock of tatting for my ornaments and, hopefully, when the holidays come again, I will sell many of them. I really am selling them all year round and have sold several so far. I write little Scripture promises on the back of them. I guess you would say they are my obsession right now. Well, I really must go now--my tatting is calling me. . . .

I'm sorry to read that your husband is ill. I hope the doctors are able to figure out what is wrong and help restore his good health.

Your tatting is beautiful! I love the way you have it displayed in the pictures... pastels and lace!

So sorry to hear about your husband's illness! I've already said a little prayer for both of you! I hope that you are able to manage okay.

Your tatting is lovely! Love the colors! So soft and delicate looking. I've found tatting to be a fabulous stress reliever, too! :)

Thank you all for your kind comments. They are talking about sending him to Vanderbilt in the next few weeks to see if they can figure out what is wrong. But in the meantime, God is taking care of us financially. It's hard to believe with all these medical bills and him not working for 4 months, but we are surprisingly doing okay. And thank you God for good insurance!
